What we collect
We collect personal data in several places across the product, not only the newsletter. Depending on how you use Pitch·Paper Herald, this can include: your email address (newsletter, waitlists, account sign-up, club alerts); your name, organization, role, and country (professional waitlist and partner inquiries); free-text messages you send us (feedback, partner inquiries); and, if you subscribe to a paid plan, billing information processed by our payment provider (Stripe) and a record of the transaction. Account data (saved clubs, followed items, preferences) is tied to your account and stored by our database provider. None of this is sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Why we collect it and our legal basis
We collect this data to run the service you asked for: sending the newsletter or alerts you signed up for, maintaining your account and saved preferences, responding to waitlist and partner inquiries, and processing payments for paid plans. Our legal basis is your consent (newsletter, alerts, waitlists), performance of a contract (accounts, paid subscriptions), or our legitimate interest in responding to messages you send us (feedback, partner inquiries).
Analytics
We use analytics to understand how visitors move through the site — which stories are read, where traffic comes from, and how the platform performs. This data is aggregated and anonymous. We do not build personal profiles or track you across other websites.
Content and sources
Pitch·Paper Herald is an aggregation and intelligence layer. Every story links directly to its original publisher. We do not republish full articles, and we do not claim ownership of third-party content. Clicking a headline takes you to the source.
Automated outputs
Some dashboard content (scores, ratings, and similar outputs) is produced by automated systems and marked as such. These outputs are advisory only — they are not a recommendation or decision about any individual.
Who processes your data
Our database and backend are provided by Lovable, running on managed infrastructure we refer to here as "our database provider." Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't share your personal data with any other third party beyond what's needed to run the service.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter or club alerts at any time using the link in any email we send you. You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or request that it be corrected or deleted, by contacting us below. For most of what we collect, we aim to complete a deletion request within 30 days; email unsubscribes are typically immediate. Some records — for example, billing records tied to a paid subscription — may need to be retained in anonymized form for a period required by financial record-keeping rules, even after a deletion request.
