Athletic y Real se remontaron 50 años atrás. José Ángel Iribar e Inaxio Kortabarria revivieron el acto más icónico del fútbol vasco protagonizado el 5 de diciembre de 1976, cuando saltaron al campo de Atotxa portando una Ikurriña en una época muy diferente a la actual, recién salidos de la dictadura. El Txopo defendía la portería zurigorri y el de central Arrasate era el líder de la defensa txuri urdin.
